"Virginia Dreams: Fiber Art and Poetry"

Seven of my traditional quilts will be on display at the Virginia Quilt Museum in Dayton, Virginia! I will hold an "Meet the Artist Afternoon" on February 7th, 2026 from 2:30-4:00 p.m.

I can't wait! Come see me and my beloved quilts!

"Irish Indigo Blues" is a reproduction of an antique quilt I own (unknown maker). Mine is made with mostly antique indigo fabrics. The blue large border is the only blue fabric which is a reproduction indigo fabric, the rest of the small squares are antique indigo blues. Pieced, quilted, and bound by me. It was an American Quilt Study Group challenge in 2023. The original quilt is a double Irish chain, but converting from a 90" x 90" quilt to 40" x 40" would have made the squares too tiny, so this is a single Irish chain. The original quilt also features wreaths. but the quilting thread is all white. I enjoyed using blue/green quilting stitches to make the quilting a secondary design feature.
