Fiber Artist CV
Artist Statement: “I create art quilts that are meant to be both beautiful and thought-provoking. My background as a scientist led me to inspire others to view the beauty of nature and improve the planet. This resulted in a whole ongoing series of art quilts that convey specific messages about scientific topics. Please check out my "Science as Art Quilt Series" to see more!
My "Abstract Art Quilt Series" uses vivid colors and shapes to convey messages-both mine and those the viewer creates while viewing them. Some were inspired by famous painters (Frankenthaler, Kandinsky, Miro), others are pure improvisation.
